Wow! How fast did January go by? That's crazy.
Now it's time to prepare for the month of pancakes and valentines day. Me personally i'm more excited about pancake day! I mean come on, who doesn't love a good pancake with lemon juice and sugar on top. Mmmmmm. Although it would be nice to be spoiled on valentines day also.
But for now i thought i'd share with you this yummy golden syrup flapjack recipe. Of course you can add other bits too if you wanted like chocolate chips or cherries, what ever you fancy.

Ingredients

  • 250g Porridge Oats
  • 125g Butter
  • 125g Brown Sugar
  • 2-3 Tbsps Golden syrup
Method
  1. Pre heat oven to 180 degrees C
  2. Add the butter, sugar and syrup together in a saucepan and melt till it forms a caramel type sauce.
  3. Add the sauce to the porridge oats and thoroughly mix together.
  4. Lightly grease a baking tin with butter and add mixture to tin, making sure you pat the mixture down and score lines across it ready for cutting later.
  5. Place in oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Once cooled remove from baking tin and its ready to serve.
What is your favourite flapjack flavour? How do you have your pancakes?
