Chocolate brownies

18:59 0 Comments A+ a-

Me and my sister like baking when we spend time together, so it comes as no surprise that when i went round my mums we made some chocolate brownies. Here is the recipe we used. I hope you enjoy them as much as we did :)

Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

  • 185g unsalted butter
  • 185g dark chocolate
  • 85g plain flour
  • 40g cocoa powder
  • 100g chocolate chunks
  • 3 eggs
  • 275g caster sugar
Method
  1. Cut 185g unsalted butter into small cubes and tip into a bowl. Break 185g dark chocolate into small pieces and add to the butter. Then fill a pan with water and rest the bowl on top. Turn the gas on and heat the water up so your butter and chocolate melts. Take off the heat once fully melted.
  2. Preheat oven to 180c/gas4. Line a shallow square tin with baking paper.
  3. Measure 85g of plain flour and 40g of cocoa powder into a bowl making sure you sieve them. Put the bowl to one side.
  4. Break the eggs into a large bowl with 275g caster sugar. Mix until thick and creamy, like a milk shake.
  5. Pour the cooled chocolate mixture over the eggy mousse and gently fold together in a figure of eight until the mixture is a dark brown colour.
  6. Resift the flour and cocoa into the eggy chocolate mixture, and gently fold this in. Stop juist before you think its mixed and add your chocolate chunks.
  7. Pour the mixture into your tin and level it with a spatula. Put in the oven for 25 minutes. If the brownie wobbles in the middle leave for another 5 minutes.
  8. Leave to cool and then cut into slices

Review: W7 In The Buff pallete

16:36 0 Comments A+ a-

I had heard that these w7 palette were good dupes for the urban decay naked palettes so instead of forking out 38 pound i decided to try one of these. Well first off nudes/browns/gold/bronze are my go to colours so this palette was perfect for me. The colours ive used so far have been quite pigmented, i thought for the money as it is sooo cheap that they wouldn't be as pigmented as other well known brands but i wasn't disappointed. I highly recommend this palette its such good value for money aswell you get 12 shades for 5 pounds bargain!!! The only downside is the packaging is a little bulky and the metal casing is very thin but other than that what a great product.
Please try it out guys you wont be disappointed.

Things i am looking forward to this summer

14:34 0 Comments A+ a-

Summer is here woooooooo! Finally!
I thought i would share with you some things im looking forward to this summer.
Obviously i cant wait to enjoy bbqs with family and friends there such a good way of gathering people together to socialise. Oh and course there the food, Mmmmmmm fooood!
One thing i love about summer is you get to wear less clothes, no need to layer up in your jumpers. Just put on some shorts or a dress with a kimono if you still need to cover a little bit. I think this feeling is refreshing. Only downside is MILKBOTTLES! This brings me to my next point getting a tan. Who doesnt love to look like a bronze goddess!
My Birthday, im going to be 24 this year and i cant wait to spend a week off with my boyfriend Kris. I have no idea what were doing, but i cant wait to just spend some quality time with him for a week.
Of course everyone loves Ice cream in summer.
And finally days out with Kris and the bestie. We already have some planned but the unplanned ones are the best!

Is there anything you guys are looking forward to this summer?

So we've come to the end of another month. And now were in June how time flies. Here are some products I've been loving a lot this month.

Avon footworks cooling lotion - already mentioned about this, but im obsessed with it, i apply it every night religously( how ever you spell it) its amazing, works wonders on tired feet when youve been stood up all day.

Avon Cherish Eau de parfum - this is quite a fresh flowery kind of smell, the sort to get you set for spring/summer its a great everyday kind of scent.

The body shop aloe night cream - i have also been using this religously every night, its amazing very thick and cream like in texture, a perfect night cream for dry sensitive skin.

China glaze nail polis -  in the shade 'what a pansy' this has been my go to nail colour for may, this is a bluey purple colour and great for spring/summer.

Rimmel lipstick - in shade 07 i think i have worn this most days throughout may, a perfect day time lipstick. its like a nudey brown colour.

And finally my lynx deodorant - this is what ive had out of a gift set for christmas, i love the fresh smell and the pink bottle :D

What have you been loving this month? Have you tried anything new?
